We respect the intellectual property of others and expect our users to do the same.

Don’t use the services to do harm to yourself or others, including exploiting, harassing, bullying, spamming, or planning real-world harm.

Don’t use the services to scrape our services without written consent, including using any automated devices or software.

Don’t do anything illegal, abusive towards others, that abuses Patreon in a technical way, or that exploits Patreon in an unintended manner that is detrimental to us.

A high level summary of those rules is that we don’t allow: illegal material or benefits; material or benefits that are abusive towards other people; material or benefits that are misleading or deceptive; material or benefits that use others’ intellectual property, unless you have written permission to use it, or your use is protected as fair use; or material or benefits with real people engaging in sexual acts.

We respond to compliant notifications of claimed copyright infringement and have adopted and reasonably implemented a policy for terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of creators and fans who are the subject of repeated compliant notifications of claimed copyright infringement or other evidence that suggests a pattern of repeat infringement.

You must not make available creations or otherwise make posts on Patreon that infringe others’ intellectual property or proprietary rights.

You can’t call for, or threaten, violence against specific people or groups. And you can’t sell products that facilitate intentional self-harm.

We don’t tolerate anyone defrauding Shopify, other merchants, or buyers, using Shopify as a platform to send spam, or for other malicious practices.

We reserve the right to take down some or all of that content if it breaches these terms, violates applicable law, or could harm our users, third parties, or Google.

Content that incites or threatens violence against any person, promotes terrorism, is intended to harass, abuse or invade the privacy of any individual, or threatens or encourages harm based on various protected characteristics.

Fastly’s services shall not be used for the purpose of exploiting, harming, or attempting to exploit or harm minors in any way, including by exposing them to inappropriate content or asking for personally identifiable information.

Fastly’s services shall not be used to impersonate or attempt to impersonate Fastly, Fastly personnel, another subscriber or user, or any other person or entity.

Fastly’s services shall not be used to store, publish, display, or transmit obscene, defamatory, infringing, libelous, harassing, abusive, threatening or otherwise unlawful or tortious material.

Fastly’s services shall not be used to send unsolicited messages or postings, including bulk commercial advertising or informational announcements and 'spam'.

Customer shall not use the Akamai Network or Services to send unsolicited e-mail messages or USENET postings, including, without limitation, bulk commercial advertising or informational announcements (spam).

Customer shall not use the Akamai Network or Services to transmit or distribute material containing fraudulent offers for goods or services, or any advertising or promotional materials that contain false, deceptive, or misleading statements, claims, or representations.

Customer shall not use the Akamai Network and Services to transmit, distribute or store material that is inappropriate, as reasonably determined by Akamai, or material that is illegal, defamatory, libelous, indecent, obscene, pornographic, inconsistent with the generally accepted practices of the Internet community, or enables illegal online gambling.

Customer shall not use the Akamai Network or Services in any manner that would infringe, dilute, misappropriate, or otherwise violate any privacy or other personal rights or any intellectual property rights, including but not limited to, copyrights and laws protecting patents, trademarks, trade secrets or other proprietary information.

Customer is prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the Akamai Network and Services, or any third party network, system, server, or account, including, without limitation, engaging in any of the following activities: (b) impersonating Akamai personnel.
